Specialist Journals

The Canadian Journal of General Internal Medicine (CJGIM) is the official publication of the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine (CSIM). The journal has a well-respected editorial board and provides a sharp focus on the topics and issues facing the profession of Internal Medicine with a combination of clinical and scientific original articles.  CJGIM is a hybrid journal, published four times per year in both a print version and as an open access publication. All accepted and peer reviewed articles will be published in the on-line open access version of the journal.  Select articles will be published in the print version.

The CJGIM accepts submissions under the categories of original research articles, review articles, case reports, letters to the editor, and book reviews.  The CJGIM also publishes selected conference abstracts and special supplemental issues.

​The CJGIM has recently been accepted and listed in the Emerging Citation Index (ECI), through Thompson Reuters.  All articles are archived through the ECI, Portico and CrossRef.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Canadian Journal of General Internal Medicine (CJGIM) charge an APC of US $750 per article.  The APC will be waived for authors who are Full Members and Physician Associates (with dues currently paid) of the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine (CSIM) as well as CSIM Senior Associates.

The APC is billed upon acceptance of an article, after it has completed the peer review process.  There are no additional charges based on color, length, figures, or other elements.  Letters to the Editor and select invited articles are not charged an APC.

Authors living in countries not considered “least developed” (as per the following list of countries) who do not have the ability to pay the APC may be eligible for a reduced APC.  Please contact the publisher directly to make a formal request at jbirkby@dougmargroup.com.

The Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science (JCLRS) publishes research and scholarly contributions that inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of practice, research, education, leadership in contact lens science and research. JCLRS provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to share knowledge in the form of high-quality research papers, case studies, and book reviews.
 
We are seeking quality manuscripts related to all aspects of contact lens research and science, including but not limited to multifocal lenses, myopia control, scleral lenses, irregular cornea correction, drug-eluting lenses, corneal reshaping, wave-front contact lenses, therapeutic lenses, and tinted lenses.

​Starting January 1, 2017, the Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science (JCLRS) will charge an APC of US $825. Letters to the Editor, short commentaries, and select invited articles are not charged an APC. All articles are archived through Portico and assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The Journal of Mental Health and Addiction Nursing publishes research and other scholarly contributions that inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of practice, research, education, leadership, and policy relevant to nurses engaged in mental health and addiction nursing.

Emphasis is placed on nursing-led knowledge and innovation that assists in preventing and managing conditions of individuals, communities, and specific populations experiencing mental health issues or illnesses. We are seeking quality manuscripts related to all aspects of mental health and addiction nursing, included but not limited to the following:

The Journal of Dry Eye Disease (JDED) publishes research and scholarly contributions that inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of practice, research, education and leadership in dry eye disease research. JDED provides a platform for researchers, academics and practitioners to share knowledge in the form of high-quality research papers, review papers and case studies.

The JDED accepts submissions of quality manuscripts related to all aspects of dry eye disease research and science, including but not limited to; Epidemiology of DED, Pathophysiology of DED, Treatment and management strategies, Case reports or case series, Meibomian gland dysfunction, and Systemic diseases related to DED.

The Scleral Lens Society is pleased to announce a new relationship with the Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science (JCLRS). This open access journal will allow full access to all articles and, through a high level of peer review, publishes timely original and reviewed articles and research written and submitted by members.

The Journal of Dry Eye Disease (JDED) will charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) of US $825 per article. NOTE: A reduced APC of US $695 will apply to articles received and accepted for peer review between July 1, 2017 and November 30, 2017. The regular APC of US $825 will apply to articles received after November 30th, 2017.

 The APC for the Journal of Men’s Health (JOMH) is US $975. Like most Open Access titles, JOMH applies an Article Processing Charge (APC), only after the manuscript has been accepted by the editor, and has gone through the peer review process.  Once revisions have been made to the manuscript and it has been cleared to publish, the author will be sent an invoice for the APC. Letters to the Editor, short commentaries and select invited articles will not be charged an APC.

The JOMH will provide the highest level of editorial service for the author, including a rigorous peer review process, expert editing and production editing, and excellent design services. All articles are archived through Portico and will be assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) through Cross Ref. Published articles are also archived in Thompson Reuters ISI Web of Science.
